Policy and Advocacy
GH2 India actively engages in policy and advocacy efforts to shape a favourable regulatory environment for green hydrogen development. We work closely with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and industry associations to influence policy decisions and promote the adoption of green hydrogen. Our advocacy efforts focus on highlighting the benefits of green hydrogen, addressing regulatory challenges, and ensuring that the policies support the growth and sustainability of the industry. By representing the interests of our members and stakeholders, we aim to create a supportive framework that accelerates the transition to a green hydrogen economy.

Indian Hydrogen Delegation to World Hydrogen Summit 2026
The Indian Hydrogen Delegation to the World Hydrogen Summit 2026 represents India’s largest and most ambitious global engagement on green hydrogen to date. Anchored by GH2 India and supported by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the delegation brings together over 90 senior stakeholders from industry, government, academia, and research institutions to Rotterdam from 18–22 May 2026.
As India accelerates its transition to a global hub for green hydrogen and derivatives, the delegation highlights the country’s growing leadership in supply development, demand creation, and international collaboration. With over 1.5 million tonnes per annum of binding green ammonia off-take, India is playing an increasingly important role in shaping global hydrogen markets and trade flows.
The delegation program is centered around a dynamic series of 18+ high-impact engagements, including ministerial dialogues, trade workshops, policy roundtables, and industry-led forums. Key highlights include the EU–India Green Hydrogen Business Forum, bilateral discussions with European partners, and sector-focused workshops spanning maritime applications, industrial decarbonisation, supply chains, and certification frameworks.
In addition to structured dialogues, the delegation facilitates collaboration through industrial and port visits across the Netherlands and Belgium, strengthening linkages between Indian stakeholders and European ecosystems.
A strong Indian presence at the summit is further reinforced by exhibitors including MNRE and leading companies, alongside participation from developers, financiers, technology providers, and global institutions. The India Pavilion serves as a focal point for engagement, networking, and partnership building throughout the summit.
Together, the Indian Hydrogen Delegation reflects the scale, speed, and strategic intent of India’s green hydrogen mission, driving international cooperation and advancing the transition to a globally integrated, low-carbon hydrogen economy.
