CEO Roundtable on Accelerating Green Hydrogen Production in Gujarat: A Collaborative Vision

On 16th September 2024, GH2 India, in collaboration with the Government of Gujarat, successfully hosted a CEO Roundtable on ‘Accelerating Green Hydrogen Production through Green Jobs in Gujarat’ at RE-INVEST 2024. This exclusive roundtable saw the participation of leaders from key industries such as ReNew, Hygenco, Goenka Group, Avaada, Welspun, and many more, alongside innovative startups like Newtrace and Ossus Biorenewables.

Moderated by Nishaanth Balashanmugam, Director of GH2 India, the discussions centered around Gujarat’s ambitions to produce 3 MMTPA of green hydrogen by 2030 and the role of industrial clusters, policy frameworks, and skill development in achieving this goal. Shri J S Haider, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy and Petrochemicals Department, and Shri Arun Mahesh Babu M.S., IAS, delivered insightful remarks on Gujarat’s strategic plans to contribute to the National Green Hydrogen Mission.

The roundtable highlighted the potential of green hydrogen to drive economic growth, industrialization, and green jobs, solidifying Gujarat’s role as a leader in India’s energy transition.
