Ahmedabad, Gujarat, July, 2024 - In a significant step towards advancing green hydrogen production in India, the Green Hydrogen India (GH2 India) has forged a new partnership with Gujarat Power Corporation Limited (GPCL), the state’s nodal agency for green hydrogen initiatives. The collaboration was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at accelerating green hydrogen production across the state, a move that promises to significantly boost both technological innovation and sustainable development in the region.

The Green Hydrogen India Symposium aims to bring together key stakeholders, industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss the advancements, challenges, and opportunities in India's green hydrogen sector.

The India Green Hydrogen Showcase, part of EU Hydrogen Week 2024, served as a key platform to highlight India's emerging leadership in the global green hydrogen economy. The event, organised by GH2 India, brought together a diverse group of policymakers, industry leaders, international experts, and stakeholders from the green hydrogen sector to discuss India's growing production capabilities, policy landscape, and opportunities for international partnerships

Organised by: GH2 India Brussels, November 19, 2024 – During EU Hydrogen Week, stakeholders from India and the European Union convened at the Certification Roundtable to tackle one of the most pressing issues in the green hydrogen sector: certification. The discussion centered on the stringent Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO) standards under the EU’s Renewable Energy Directive (RED) and the pathways to align India’s burgeoning green hydrogen industry with these requirements.

Organised by: GH2 India, NSEFI and Hydrogen Europe Brussels, November 19, 2024 – The EU-India High-Level Roundtable on Green Hydrogen, held during EU Hydrogen Week 2024, served as a dynamic platform to strengthen partnerships between India and the European Union in the green hydrogen sector. This strategic dialogue brought together senior policymakers, industry leaders, and research stakeholders to explore opportunities for advancing green hydrogen production, trade, and infrastructure. The event featured prominent leaders from both regions, including representatives from India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the European Commission, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), and top industry stakeholders and associations such as ACME, Adani, Accelera, Amgreen, Avaada, Bosch, Gasunie, Gentari, GH2 India, Hydrogen Europe, Hygenco, Linde, RWE, Rely Solutions, ReNew, Smart Energy, Sunfire and Snam.

On 21st October 2024, GH2 India hosted a high-impact breakfast meeting, bringing together industry leaders and stakeholders to deliberate on opportunities and challenges in green ammonia and hydrogen production. The discussion, led by Jonas Moberg and Nishaanth Balashanmugam from GH2 India, focused on market dynamics, pricing strategies, policy adjustments, and infrastructure requirements to accelerate sector growth.

On 16th September 2024, GH2 India, in collaboration with the Government of Gujarat, successfully hosted a CEO Roundtable on ‘Accelerating Green Hydrogen Production through Green Jobs in Gujarat’ at RE-INVEST 2024.

Highlights from GH2 India High-Level Roundtable with thyssenkrupp Nucera On 12th September 2024, GH2 hosted a high-level roundtable in collaboration with thyssenkrupp Nucera and the Indo-German Energy Forum at the Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi.

The recent GH2 India CEO Roundtable in Mumbai brought together top executives from leading industries to engage in a high-level dialogue on the future of green hydrogen in India. The event, held on 7th August 2024, featured a keynote address by Mr. Miguel Ángel López Borrego, CEO of thyssenkrupp, who outlined three critical levers for India's energy transition.

We are delighted to announce that CETFI, in collaboration with DSK Legal, successfully conducted a high-impact roundtable discussion focused on innovative structures and models to access institutional finance for climate and energy transition. The event brought together key stakeholders, including banks, industry representatives, and climate finance experts, to explore the complexities and opportunities in the field.

The purpose of this series is to facilitate informal dialogue and collaboration on advancing green hydrogen in India. We aim to share updates, insights, and experiences to ensure stronger impact and development collaboratively. We invite trade bodies, commercial and research sections of embassies, DFIs, and other multilateral organisations to participate.

We recently had the privilege of hosting an interactive session with Dr. Susana Moreira, Executive Director of the H2Global Foundation, and Mr. Timo Bollerhey, Executive Director of HINT.CO GmbH. During this engaging event, they shared their efforts to advance the trade of green hydrogen and its derivatives within the European Union, while also exploring how India can play a pivotal role in supporting these endeavours.

Enabling Renewable Energy Integration through Long Duration Energy Storage Roundtable Discussion | 1st July 2024 | GPCL Office, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat As the energy landscape evolves, integrating renewable energy effectively into our power systems is becoming increasingly crucial. Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) technologies are at the forefront of this transformation, enhancing grid capacity, supporting renewable integration, and facilitating green hydrogen production.

The Climate and Energy Transition Finance Summit (CETFiS) 2023 was a landmark event that focused on advancing climate finance solutions and sustainable energy transitions. Over two days, global leaders, industry experts, policymakers, and financial institutions convened to discuss and drive forward innovative approaches in climate finance.

As part of our ongoing efforts to accelerate the adoption of green hydrogen, the GH2 India is undertaking a series of Policy and Finance Roundtables. These roundtables are designed to engage key stakeholders in meaningful discussions to drive the green hydrogen agenda forward.

New Delhi, November 29, 2023 — The Climate and Energy Transition Finance Summit (CETFiS) concluded with resounding success, gathering 200 global leaders and industry experts committed to advancing climate finance.
