The event brought together senior government officials, industry leaders, and policy experts from India and the European Union to discuss strategies for enhancing cooperation across the hydrogen value chain.

The dialogue emphasised the need for unified certification frameworks to facilitate seamless trade. Overcoming challenges like additionality, temporal correlation, and geographical correlation was identified as pivotal for aligning regulatory landscapes.
4. Innovation and Technology Development
The roundtable highlighted opportunities for joint investment in hydrogen technology, including electrolyser development and advanced storage solutions. Both regions agreed on the importance of co-funded R&D projects to accelerate the global hydrogen transition.
5. Financial Mechanisms and Carbon Pricing
Discussions on mechanisms such as carbon pricing and subsidies focused on improving project viability while leveraging India’s competitive cost structure to create a global hydrogen market.
